Establishment of Ethiopian National Youth Council underway in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, April 2, 2023 (FBC) – A maiden conference aimed to establish the Ethiopian National Youth Council is taking place in Addis Ababa in the presence of high level government officials and youth representatives from all regions of the country and the two city administrations.

In attendance are Women and Social Affairs Minister, Ergoge Tesfaye (PhD) and the Transport and Logistics Minister, Alemu Sime (PhD), among others.

Preliminary discussions were underway on various issues since 31 March and the president and members of the executive members of the council were elected on yesterday.

It is expected that the council will approve the appointments of executive members and hold a swearing in session.
