Ermias Girma, Samuel Tefera through to the semi-finals of 1500m at Paris Olympics

Addis Ababa, August 2, 2024 (FBC) – At the ongoing Paris Olympic Games, Ethiopian runners Ermias Girma and Samuel Tefera have both successfully secured their places in the semi-finals of the men’s 1500m qualification race.

Ermias, who competed in the second heat, completed the 1500 meters with the time of 3:35.21.

Samuel Tefera, who also competed in the same distance in the third heat, finished with an impressive time of 3:37.34, thus advancing to the semi-final round.

Unfortunately, their fellow Ethiopian Abdisa Faysa was unable to progress through the qualifiers, finishing 14th in the first heat.
