Norway reassures commitment to collaborate with Ethiopia on climate change

Addis Ababa, April 18, 2028 (FBC) – State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Mesganu Arga met with Stian Christensen, Ambassador of Norway to Ethiopia & Permanent Representative to the African Union, to discuss ways of further enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, at his office today.

Both officials emphasized the importance of strengthening ties in areas such as official development cooperation, peace-building initiatives, climate change issues, and water resource management.

State Minister Ambassador Mesganu encouraged Norwegian companies to consider investing in Ethiopia, further boosting economic relations between the two nations.

Ambassador Stian Christensen reassured Norway’s commitment to work with Ethiopia in addressing climate change issues. He expressed Norway’s willingness to deepen cooperation with Ethiopia and explore new avenues for partnership.

Furthermore, the two officials exchanged views on a range of bilateral, regional, and global issues, reaffirming their mutual dedication to fostering stronger diplomatic relations.
