Envoy conveys President Sahle-Work’s good wishes to Vladimir Putin of Russia
Addis Ababa, September 13, 2024 (FBC) – Ambassador Genet Teshome, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the Russian Federation presented his letter of credential to Bogdanov Mikhail Leonidovich, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Special Advisor of President Vladimir Putin for the Middle East and Africa, on Thursday, September 12, 2024.
On the occasion, Ambassador Genet conveyed greetings and good wishes message from Sahle-Work Zewde, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, to the Russian President Vladimir Putin and greetings message from the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Taye Atsekeselassie to the Deputy Minister.
They also discussed on the relationship between the two friendly countries that has crossed one hundred and twenty-six years, and on the current national and regional issues, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in Moscow.
At the same time, Ambassador Genet expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Government and the People of Russian Federation for the warm welcome accorded to him. He stated that he is confident the support of the Ministry and the Deputy Minister will continue during his tenure, underscoring his commitment to working hard in bringing the relationship between the two countries to a higher level.
Deputy Minister Bogdanov, on his part, conveyed a welcome message to Ambassador Genet and said that the necessary support and cooperation will be given to him in his efforts to further strengthen the relations between the two friendly countries and enhance mutual benefit.
