Envoy appreciates UNFPA’s support to Ethiopia in health sector
Addis Ababa, March 28, 2023 (FBC) – Tsegab Kebebew, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the UN Office at Geneva and other International organizations in Switzerland, has appreciated UNFPA’s support to Ethiopia in health sector.
Ambassador Tsegab Kebebew met and discussed with Monica Ferro, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA’s) Director of the Geneva office.
During the discussion Ambassador Tsegab appreciated UNFPA’s support to Ethiopia on sexual and reproductive health, family planning, adolescent and youth health, safe delivery and prevention of obstetric fistula.
He also stressed on further strengthening areas of collaboration for the ongoing health and humanitarian emergencies, and bridging the humanitarian and development gaps in Ethiopia.
The Ethiopian envoy also discussed with Ms. Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
During the discussion they focused on the support provided to Ethiopia in areas of trade, productive capacity and continued cooperation in effective debt management within the Common Framework for Debt Treatment.
