Entoto Park signifies collective elevation, empowers dignified livelihoods: PM

Addis Ababa, October 11, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said Entoto Natural Park is a site of elevation which has been built my many hands with diverse knowledge ideas and recourses.

The park is also an economic catalyst positioned as a driver of urban and international tourism which created thousands of jobs in its construction phase, the premier explained.

Many have got jobs in the park as service providers, the Premier noted, adding that more people will be recruited in the maintenance phase of the project.

Entoto Park is contributing in empowering dignified livelihoods, he said, adding “Forgotten women of Entoto uplifted from carrying firewood to becoming input suppliers and gainfully employed.”

According to the Prime Minister, the park is a national pride which is conceptualized, designed and built by Ethiopians.

“It is an embodiment of our worth and our capacity to generate and build big ideas. Entoto is beyond a playground. It is a sample manifestation of what we can collectively aspire and achieve to develop Ethiopia.”, the premier added.
