Enkopa Summit a platform to unlock Ethiopia’s technology potential: MoLS

Addis Ababa October 12, 2023 (FBC) – The Enkopa Summit will have great importance in unlocking and promoting Ethiopia’s potential in the technology and IT sectors to the rest of the world, Nigusu Tilahun, Minister of State for Labor and Skills said.

The Enkopa Summit kicked off earlier this morning at Addis Ababa Millennium Hall in attendance of various start-up entrepreneurs, technologists, investors and other relevant stakeholders involved in the digital economy.

It is learned that the Summit is organized by the Ministry of Labor and Skills of Ethiopia (MoLS) in collaboration with Laurende Associates and Flowless Events.

In his remarks at the opening of the Summit, the Minister of State Mr. Nigusu Tilahun, emphasized that the event will be of great benefit in promoting Ethiopia’s potential in the technology and IT sectors to the rest of the world.

The Minister of State pointed out that digital economy, IT, and other technologies are sectors that create high job opportunities at the international level.

Enkopa Summit will provide an opportunity for start-up businesses with ideas to get to know each other from different countries in the field, exchange experience, and create market linkage to their products, he reckoned.

The event is being held with an exhibition of the products of startup businesses and panel discussions.
