ENDF Chief of Staff Visits Military Facilities in Italy

Addis Ababa, May 21, 2024 (FBC) – The Chief of General Staff of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF), Field Marshal Berhanu Jula, has visited various military facilities in Italy.

The Ethiopian defense delegations trip to Italy, which was made at the invitation of the Italian counterpart, saw the Ethiopian delegation tour a number of military industrial technology institutes under the Italian Army and Air Force.

During the visit, Field Marshal Berhanu Jula expressed the importance of the exchange of experiences based on the existing military cooperation between Ethiopia and Italy.

“The visit has allowed us to witness Italy’s level of technology in the military sector,” the ENDF chief said following discussions with officials from the host institutions.

According to the Ethiopian Embassy in Rome, the visit has resulted in an agreement to further strengthen the cooperation between similar institutions in the two countries.

The high-level military diplomacy is seen as part of the ongoing efforts to deepen the strategic partnership between Ethiopia and Italy, particularly in the area of defense and security.
