ENDF chief of staff holds talks with Luis Nani and Nwankwo Kanu
Addis Ababa, July 15, 2024 (FBC) – The Former Portugal and Manchester United winger Luis Nani and Super Eagles striker Nwankwo Kanu held talks with the Chief of General Staff of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces, Field Marshal Berhanu Jula.
During his meeting with the ENDF chief of staff, Luis Nani presented his match worn Portugal national team shirt to Field Marshal Birhanu Jula as a gift.
Moreover, Luis Nani also visited the historic Adwa Victory Memorial Museum and the Ethiopian National Museum in Addis Ababa today.
Furthermore, Luis Nani and Nwankwo Kanu paid a visit to the Ethiopian Air Force headquarters and facilities.
When they arrived at the Ethiopian Air Force Headquarters, Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Yilma Merdasa welcomed both of the renowned footballers.
Kanu and Nani, who expressed their happiness with their visit, said that the visit helped them understand the history and identity of Ethiopia.
They thanked the people of Ethiopia for the love and respect they showed them in all their visits.
The two footballers also learned that the people of Ethiopia have a rich culture of hospitality.
Both Nani and Kanu arrived on 12th July 2024 to attend the 80th anniversary of Mechal Sports Club as guests of honor.
