ENDF CGS reiterates commitment for practical implementation of the peace agreement
Addis Ababa, November 13, 2022 (FBC) – The delegation of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) has returned home after concluding its discussion on the detailed plan for the implementation of the Pretoria Peace Agreement and signing the agreement, in Nairobi, Kenya,.
The delegation was warmly received by senior government officials as it returned home and touched down in Addis Ababa.
The Chief of General Staff of ENDF, Field Marshal Birhanu Jula, said, “We have been striving for peace in the past, and the peace talks are a massive opportunity to achieve it.”
“We discussed the implementation of the peace agreement reached in Nairobi and Pretoria”, he stated.
“For the sake of peace and the peace loving Ethiopian people, we are committed to implement the agreement we signed. We will do everything we can for the practical implementation of the agreement,” he said.
It is to be remembered that the chiefs of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces and the commander of the TPLF combatants have signed an agreement on Saturday on the detailed plan to facilitate the supply of humanitarian aid, start basic services and disarm the TPLF combatants, in accordance to the Pretoria agreement.
