Embassy, IOM facilitates repatriation of 79 Ethiopian migrants from Djibouti

Addis Ababa, October 20, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian Embassy in Djibouti in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Djibouti, facilitated the repatriation of 79 Ethiopian migrants.

According to the Embassy, 17 of the total returnees are under the age of 18. The Embassy and the IOM has so far jointly facilitated safe return of hundreds of Ethiopians to home.

IOM’s humanitarian assistance and protection services in response to the needs of returnees are aligned with the Regional Migrant Response Plan for the Horn of Africa, 2022.
