EIC hosts Ethiopia-China Investment Seminar

Addis Ababa, January 25, 2024 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) hosted Ethiopia-China Investment Seminar in participation of a delegation from CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) led by its Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang.

Apart from members of CCPIT delegation and EIC staff, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic corps from the Chinese Embassy in Addis Ababa, members of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations and representatives of the Ethiopian business community participated in the seminar.

CEO of EIC, Hanna Arayaselassie briefed the delegation on the growing investment opportunities in Ethiopia and the incentives put in place by the government to create favorable climate for foreign investments.

During the seminar, the EIC, CCPIT and the Chinese Embassy have explored mechanisms that would enable them to work together to strengthen trade and investment relations between Ethiopia and China.
