EEU restores electric power service in Lalibela, surroundings
Addis Ababa, November 2, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) announced that electric power service has been restored in Lalibela town, Lasta district and Muja town.
Electric power access in these areas was cut off for a long time due to TPLF’s invasion and destruction.
The areas regained the electric power on November 1 following the completion of maintenance of the 66 KV power transmission line of Alamata-Lalibela, which was heavily damaged by the terrorist TPLF.
According to EEU’s Woldia District Director, Shimelis Wolde-Semayat, the district workers have worked hard to complete the maintenance work in a short period of time.
EEU confirmed that it will continue working to restore the electric power supply to the towns in and around Sekota.
