EEP working to supply power to four Agro-Industrial Parks
Addis Ababa, February 3, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Electric Power announced that it is working to supply power to four Agro Processing Industrial Parks in several parts of the country.
Moges Mekonnen, Corporate Communication Director at Ethiopian Electric Power, said preparations have been already started to connect Bure Agro-Industrial Park with Bahir Dar and Debre Markos Electrical Substations with a total of 161 Kilo meters of 132 and 230 Kilovolt transmission lines respectively.
Technical and financial analysis has been finalized as international bidders have been invited for the installation works and are responding accordingly, he said. The bidding process will be completed till February 12, 2021, he added.
The project which is being implemented to supply power to Bure, Bulbula, Baker and Yirgalem Agro-Industrial Parks is expected to be completed in a time span of 12 months, the director added.
