Education Ministry vows to strengthen academic freedom in higher institutions  

Addis Ababa, October 28, 2021 (FBC) – The Education Minister, Professor Birhanu Nega discussed with leadership of higher institutions on ways of improving quality of education.

Professor Birhanu said that the government has put in place several reform tools to transform the learning-teaching process and the education system as well.

He stressed the need to concerted efforts to address maladministration issues and bottlenecks related to poor infrastructure in higher education institutions in the country.

Professor Birhanu further underscored that the Ministry will strengthen academic freedom in higher institutions so that the education system will be free from political intervention from the government and stakeholders.
