Education Minister discusses with the U.S. Ambassador to Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, October 27, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Minister of Education, Prof. Berhanu Nega, held a discussion with the U.S. Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ervin J. Massinga, today.

Their discussion aims to renew the two countries’ partnership in the education sector which stretches back to the 1950’s. Both sides exchanged views on further strengthening the Ethiopia-U.S. cooperation in higher education, according to the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa.

The Ambassador and the Minister also listened to the observations of 25 Ethiopian public university presidents and vice-presidents who have just returned from a two-week intensive leadership study experience in the United States that took them to Texas Tech, Ohio State, and Oklahoma State Universities, funded by the U.S. government in partnership with the Ministry of Education.
