ECNAS contributes $5mln support for war-torn public institutions, citizens
Addis Ababa, September 14, 2022 (FBC) – Ethio-Canadian Network for Advocacy and Support (ECNAS) confirmed that it has provided material support worth $5 million to the citizens and public health institutions that were devastated by the terrorist TPLF.
President of ECNAS, Tihut Asfaw (PhD), said that Ethiopians living in Canada are aware of the situation of their country and are providing skills, material, and financial support.
She indicated that, in the process so far, this non-profit organization has coordinated the Ethiopians living in Canada and provided material support worth $5 million to the citizens and health institutions looted and demolished by the terrorist TPLF.
She pointed out that the support has been made available to the victims and destroyed health facilities in the Amhara and Afar regions.
She also recalled that they raised more than $800,000 to support call for national cause.
ECNAS handed over $3.1 million worth of medical supplies to the Ministry of Health-Ethiopia to support the health institutions that were destroyed by TPLF.
This organization has been working together with Ethiopian Diasporas living in different countries of the world against disinformation about Ethiopia, she explained.
She also stated that the organization has been working to create proper understanding of the situation in Ethiopia by contacting officials and parliamentarians of the Canadian government through formal letters and zoom meetings.
She affirmed that the ECNAS will continue supporting the Ethiopian government efforts to renovate public health centers and rehabilitation activities.
She, then, called on Ethiopians living in other countries of the world, including USA and Europe, to continue the work they have started in supporting their country.
