Eastern Nile Basin Council of Ministers meeting underway in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, June 15, 2021 (FBC) – Council of Ministers of the Eastern Nile Basin Countries has started the 33rd session in Addis Ababa.
The meeting is underway focused at exploring ways to develop the Nile Basin through concerted efforts for mutual benefit. Discussion is also expected to assess activities that have been already carried out in the basin.
Water Ministers of the Sudan and South Sudan are participating in the meeting chaired by the Ethiopian Water, Irrigation and Energy Minister, Dr. Seleshi Bekele.
Egypt which is one of the members of the Council has boycotted the meeting, according to the information gained form ministry of Water, Irrigation and Energy.
