East African Cultural and Arts Festival set to take place in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, January 8, 2025 (FMC) – The Minister of Culture and Sports, Shewit Shanka, has revealed plans for the upcoming East African Cultural and Arts Festival to be held in Addis Ababa.

The Minister highlighted that efforts are in place to showcase Ethiopia’s rich cultural and artistic heritage, aiming to enhance grand narrative across the country.

Shewit pointed out the significance of the National Cultural and Arts Festival conducted over the last three months, noting its role in fostering harmony and enhancing the nation’s image.

The Minister detailed ongoing preparations for the East African Cultural and Arts Festival, which will promote Ethiopia’s cultural and artistic potentials while encouraging regional cultural exchange.

Shewit emphasized the importance of collaboration with artists and performers to ensure the event’s success.
