EAF secures training ground deal in Paris for Ethiopian athletes heading to 2024 Olympics

Addis Ababa, November 18, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia Athletics Federation has signed a memorandum of understanding with French commune of Antony to authorize Ethiopian athletes participating in the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 to use the Antony stadium as their training ground.

Following the signing of the MoU, the Paris Antony Stadium has been secured as a training ground for the Ethiopian Olympic team competing in the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.

According to the Ethiopian Embassy in Paris, the memorandum of understanding was signed by the President of Ethiopian Athletics Federation, Derartu Tulu and the Mayor of Antony, Jean-Yves Sénant.

The EAF delegation also held a consultation with members of the Ethiopian sports diaspora to ensure Ethiopians living in France and other European countries cheer, encourage, and support the Ethiopian athletics team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Embassy indicated that these discussions will continue throughout the year until the end of the competition.
