EABC donates locust control equipment to ministry of agriculture

Addis Ababa, October 20, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopian Agricultural Businesses Corporation has donated 250 handheld sprayers to Ministry of Agriculture in support of the fight against the desert locust infestations in many parts of the country.

In the handover ceremony, Minister of Ministry of Agriculture, Oumer Hussien said various institutions are showing solidarity in the fight against the locust swarms which are destroying crops and highly affecting livelihoods in several parts of Ethiopia.

Omer described the donation from EABC an instrumental to reinforce preventive measures against the locust swarms.

It is to be recalled that China donated yesterday pesticides, sprayers and personal protective gears to assist Ethiopia in its campaign against the desert locust outbreak in the country.
