DRC East Africa and Great Lakes pledges support to Ethiopia’s refugee operations

Addis Ababa, March 5, 2024 (FBC) – Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS) Director General, Teyiba Hassen hosted the Executive Director of Danish Refugee Council (DRC) for East Africa and Great Lakes Region, James Curtis at her office.

The RRS Director General and the DRC Executive Director discussed ways how to further promote refugee protection in Ethiopia.

James Curtis acknowledged Ethiopia’s long-established determination in welcoming and protecting refugees and asylum seekers even at times of difficulty, and promised to support Ethiopia in the mobilization of funds for its refugee operations.

Appreciating their dedication, Teyiba assured James Curtis and his delegation of RRS’ readiness to work with DRC for the well-being of refugees and their hosting communities.
