DPM & FM Demeke Mekonnen arrives in Burundi for working visit

Addis Ababa, April 25, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Demeke Mekonnen, on its third leg of a visit to African countries, arrived in Bujumbura, Burundi this evening.

He is scheduled to meet the President of Burundi tomorrow and confer on a raft of bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.

Upon arrival in Bujumbura, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and his delegation was received by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Burundi.

It’s to be recalled that DPM & FM Demeke visited Tanzania and Comoros, held bilateral discussions with the leaders of the two sisterly countries to foster stronger ties, and signed MoU for bilateral cooperation with the latter.
