Djibouti Nat’l Assembly President highlights strengthened people-to-people ties with Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, December 21, 2023 (FBC) – Djibouti National Assembly President, Dileita Mohamed Dileita addressed today the House of People’s Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
In his remarks, Dileita Mohamed highlighted the need to strengthen people to people ties between Djibouti and Ethiopia, pledging commitment to take the bilateral ties between the two countries to the next level.
He further reaffirmed Djibouti’s readiness to cement bilateral cooperation with Ethiopia in the areas of trade, economy, tourism and culture.
Dileita Mohamed has lauded Ethiopia as a great country in terms of its economy, population and diplomacy.
He said Ethiopia has also a symbolic and unique status in Africa in addition to its contribution to the continent’s interest.
He also commended Ethiopia for its efforts to strengthen the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) which promotes regional cooperation and integration among its member states.
Djibouti National Assembly President also stated that the existing friendship between Ethiopia and Djibouti is real that had been repeatedly expressed by the president of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh.
He further stressed the need to exert concerted efforts to strengthen the cooperation between Ethiopia and Djibouti for the benefits of people in the respective nations through various development projects.
