Dima-Rad asphalt road construction completed
Addis Ababa, November 24, 2020 (FBC) – The Dima-Red asphalt road construction which connects Ethiopia with South Sudan has been completed and become ready for operation.
The project which covers 60.2 km asphalt concrete road will have a paramount significance to facilitate better import export trade route in the corridor.
The construction of the road run at a cost of 856 Million Birr is consulted by Ethiopian Construction Design and Supervision Works Corporation, according to the authority.
Authority also said the road has irreplaceable role in facilitating exports of agricultural produces in Western Ethiopia including Coffee, Honey and Spices to the international market, and benefiting farmers in the area.
According to the Ethiopian Roads Authority, the completion of the Dima-Rad road construction is vital to reinforce the transpiration link between Ethiopia and Sudan and deepen people to people ties among the two nations.
