Diaspora community donates 22mln birr medical supplies to Dire Dawa Dil Chora Hospital
Addis Ababa, December 22, 2022 (FBC) – A Diaspora Community group named Dire Care Association of Minnesota has donated medical supplies worth 22 million birr to Dire Dawa Dil Chora Hospital.
The support has been initiated by Ethiopians born in Dire Dawa City of Ethiopia and now living in Minnesota, U.S.
The donation includes wheel chairs, ultrasound machines and inpatient beds and other medical supplies needed by the facility.
A representative for the Dire Care Association of Minnesota, Filla Ahmed said that the team has so far delivered similar supplies to health facilities in need in the city, pledging to continue the support.
Mayor of Dire Dawa, Kedir Juhar and Head of City’s Health Bureau, Lemlem Bezabih forwarded gratitude to members of Dire Care Association of Minnesota for the support and called on others to follow their examples.
