Deputy Premier launches construction of 3.4 bln Birr road projects in Amhara region

Addis Ababa, March 1, 2021 (FBC) – Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen along with other high level officials including President of Amhara Regional State, Agegnehu Teshager has today launched construction of Arb Gebeya- Sekela-Tilili and Denbecha-Sekela-Bibugn asphalt concrete roads to be undertaken with an outlay of 3.4 Billion Birr.

The construction of the roads to be carried out with budget of the government are said crucial in stimulating the socio economic activities in the area .

According to the officials, up on their completion the two roads will serve as shortcuts in connecting the areas with Addis Ababa- Dejen- Debre Markos – Dangla – Bahir Dar and Addis Ababa- Dejen- Debre Work – Mertolemariam high ways.
