COVID 19 field hospital to go operational soon

Addis Ababa, August 29, 2020 (FBC) –Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen and Minister of Health Dr Lia Tadesse today visited a field hospital being prepared to receive COVID-19 patients.

Located in Addis Ababa at Bole Bulbula, the hospital was built with support from the World Food Program (WFP) and World Health Organization (WHO).

The hospital with 200 beds will go operational on September 10, according to the Ministry of Health.

Ethiopia’s confirmed COVID19 cases hit 48, 140, with 17,415 recoveries and 758 deaths so far.
