Deputy PM Temesgen Tiruneh visits Ethiopian Electricity Utility to review service reforms

Addis Ababa, December 11, 2024 (FMC) – In a bid to enhance customer service delivery at the Ethiopian Electricity Utility, Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh conducted a field observation today at the utility’s customer service desk and call center. During his visit, the Deputy Prime Minister assessed ongoing reforms aimed at improving client interactions and operational efficiency.

Discussions during the visit centered on the measures being taken to reduce bottlenecks and establish a more transparent operating system. These enhancements are designed to better serve a larger customer base, ensuring that service delivery is both efficient and reliable.

Temesgen Tiruneh emphasized the importance of charting a path forward for improving customer service, with a focus on optimizing the data center and strengthening call center operations. He acknowledged the critical challenges facing electricity provision in the country and reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing efficiency through effective reforms.
