Deputy PM says renovated Nat’l Palace a symbol of shared history, aspirations

Addis Ababa, December 31, 2024 (FMC) — Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Temesgen Truneh stated that the newly renovated National Palace stands as a bridge between Ethiopia’s past, present, and future—a symbol of shared history and aspirations.

“By opening its doors to the public, we embrace a new era of transparency and dialogue between the people and their government,” Temesgen stated via a post on his social media channels.

Today, Deputy PM Temesgen joined representatives of the media, tourism leaders, and professionals to experience the magnificently restored palace, which he referred it as a living testament to Ethiopia’s modern history.

This palace, according to Temesgen, is more than just a building—it is a treasure that tells the story of the nation’s resilience, the challenges its people face today, and the hopes they hold for tomorrow. “The palace reminds us of where we’ve been and inspires us toward the future we can build together.”
