Deputy PM meets with CEO of Global Partnership for Education

Addis Ababa, March 10, 2020 (FBC) –Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen today held talks with Alice Albright, CEO of the Global Partnership for Education.

The Deputy Prime Minister praised the support being provided by the organization to the education sector.

Alice Albright for her part pledged continued support of the organization to expand access to education.

Albright also met with President Sahle-Work Zewde yesterday.

The President emphasized the importance of strengthening the partnership between the organization and Ethiopia.

Albright highlighted that the efforts to ensure that children are getting access to education in Ethiopia is an example for other countries.
