Deputy PM Demeke confers with U.S. Congresswomen Karen Bass, Sara Jacobs

Addis Ababa, September 18, 2021 (FBC) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Demeke Mekonnen has conferred with the U.S. Congresswomenn Karen Bass and Sara Josephine Jacobs on bilateral issues of mutual concern and latest developments in Ethiopia.

During their discussion, Demeke expressed gratitude to the congresswoman Karen Bass for her interest to discuss with Ethiopians and Ethiopian Nationals in the U.S. on ways of maintaining the wellbeing of Ethiopia and its people.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Demeke reaffirmed commitment of Ethiopia to enhance bilateral relationships with Ethiopia in the economic, social and peace and security at regional level.

He renewed Ethiopia’s continued cooperation with the U.S. to fight terrorism and maintain peace and stability in the region.
