Deputy PM Demeke calls for concerted efforts to address some bottlenecks in investment sector
Addis Ababa, July 6, 2021 (FBC) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Demeke Mekonnen has called for concerted efforts to address some bottlenecks foreign investors in the country are facing recently.
The Deputy Prime Minister has today chaired meeting of the national forum tasked to assess problems foreign investors are facing and seek solutions with concerted efforts of the government and all stakeholders accordingly.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Demeke stressed need to put in place a system that must entail accountability and responsibility all concerned bodies at all levels in line with giving immediate response to problems in the sector.
State Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tsion Teklu, to her part, said a wide range of activities has been done to address concerns raised by foreign investors in the country in line with the law enforcement operation that took place in Tigray.
She stated that the issues have been better addressed though coordinated works involving engagement of various stakeholders at all levels pledging continued efforts to realize better investment climate in the country.
