Defense Ministry, army officials mull over establishment of military museum

Addis Ababa, May 6, 2021 (FBC) – Ministry of Defense has organized a consultative meeting focused on establishment of Military Heritage Conservation Center and Military Museum.

On the occasion, it is stated that establishing military conservation center and military museum will have a paramount importance to embed patriotism and strong sense of nationalism in generation’s conscience.

The discussion covered a range of topics related to the purpose, opportunities and challenges in setting up the military heritages conservation center and the museum.

It is indicated on the occasion that the conservation center and the museum would help pass contributions, sacrifices and gains of the Ethiopian National Defence Force down to the upcoming generation.

The center will also serve as a bridge between the army and general public and add impetus to efforts underway to expand tourism opportunities in the country.

State Minister of the Defense Ministry, Fisseha Woldesenbet, Officials from the army and representatives of Authority for Research and Conservation of Heritages were present on the consultative meeting.
