Cuba says Ethiopia capable of overcoming domestic challenges independently

Addis Ababa, September 2, 2021 (FBC) – The Republic of Cuba expressed its confidence that Ethiopia doesn’t need external support to resolve its current internal circumstances circumstances. 

While talking to Ethiopian Ambassador in Havana, Shibru Mamo, Cubian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo said that Ethiopia is capable of overcoming its internal challenges independently.

Ambassador Shibru Mamo briefed the Cuban Deputy Foreign Affairs on latest developments in Ethiopia regarding the situation in Tigray, GERD negotiations and the border dispute with Sudan.

He told the Cuban officials that Ethiopia is working hard to addressig humanitarian situation in several parts of the country and protect peace and security of its people from any internal and external threats.

She also reassred the Ethiopian Ambassador that Cuba is committed to transform its bilateral relationsh with Ethiopia in mulfifacted areas of cooperation.
