Council approves 52 Ethiopian standards

Addis Ababa, June 16, 2020 (FBC) –The Ethiopian National Standardization Council announced that it has approved 52 Ethiopian standards.

The Ethiopian Standards Agency (ESA) told journalists today that the Council approved the standards tabled for it in three categories during its 29th regular session.

Of the total standards, 31 are new, 4 revised and 17 reaffirmed, according to the agency.

The newly approved standards will have a significant contribution towards helping Ethiopia’s battle against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, it said.

The Council approved the standards in accordance with the national comprehensive COVID-19 management handbook as well as national health policy and strategy of Ethiopia.
