Corporation says 89pct of sheds in industrial parks being developed by investors

Addis Ababa, October 21, 2021 (FBC) – Industrial Parks Development Corporation said 270 factory sheds have been built in recently completed 13 industrial parks in various parts of the country.

CEO of the Corporation, Sandokan Debebe said that out of the total 270 factory sheds, 89pct are being developed by both local and foreign investors.

He added that 60pct of the sheds have already gone operational, and are producing export items for the international market.

The government is working hard to address bottlenecks in the sector related to shortage of water and power outage. More than 85,000 job opportunities are facilitated for citizens in the industrial parks, the CEO added.
