Continental events held in Addis vouch Ethiopia’s firm commitment to green dev’t – Minister
Addis Ababa, November 29, 2024 (FBC) – The successful conclusion of the Ethio-Green Mobility Exhibition and Symposium, as well as the Africa Infrastructure Development Program Week (PIDA Week 2024) are testament to Ethiopia’s diplomatic capacity and its firm commitment to green development, the country’s Minister of Transport & Logistics, Mr. Alemu Sime, said.
Addis Ababa has hosted Ethio-Green Mobility Exhibition and Symposium from 22 to 29 November and the Africa Infrastructure Development Program Week (PIDA Week 2024) from 25 to 29 November.
Following the conclusion of the two events, the Minister said in a social post that he is extremely proud of the successful completion of both events. “We are extremely proud of the successful conclusion of the Ethio-Green Mobility Exhibition and Symposium, as well as the Africa Infrastructure Development Program Week (PIDA Week 2024), which have been ongoing in Addis Ababa for the past few days.”
“These events vividly reflect Ethiopia’s diplomatic capacity and our country’s firm commitment to green development,” he noted.
Moreover, through these events, the East African nation has also demonstrated its central role in the continent-wide infrastructure development, renewable energy, and connectivity, Mr. Alemu asserted.
Ethio-Green Mobility Exhibition and Symposium is said to be a concrete demonstration of Ethiopia’s commitment to realizing a green transportation strategy. This exhibition and symposium uniquely brought together global technology and market opportunities to advance Ethiopia’s climate-resilient development and pollution-free transportation. Moreover, it is believed that the event played key role in solidifying Addis Ababa’s position as a leading conference tourism hub.
Meanwhile, the PIDA Week 2024 was held at a time when Ethiopia’s role and benefits in the continent-wide infrastructure development and connectivity are significantly increasing, it was indicated.
It was mentioned that Addis Ababa hosting this continental not only underscored Ethiopia’s growing status as a diplomatic hub but also reflects the country’s pivotal role in Africa’s infrastructure connectivity.
