Delegation of BRICS Council of Experts, Civil Forum to visit Ethiopia next month – IFA
Addis Ababa, March 25, 2024 (FBC) – A delegation from the BRICS Council of Experts and Civil Forum is scheduled to visit Ethiopia next month for consultations with various stakeholders, according to the Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA).
IFA disclosed this story during a gathering to deliberate on preparation for Ethiopia’s prospective engagement in the BRICS framework.
On the occasion, Mr. Jafar Bedru, the director general of IFA, underscored that a key objective of Ethiopia’s BRICS membership is to foster collaboration under all amicable circumstances.
He emphasized that such collaboration would facilitate the broadening of partnerships to safeguard Ethiopia’s national interests and address the developmental demands of its people.
Jafar elucidated that the synergy of concerted efforts and cooperation is indispensable for Ethiopia to uphold its interests within the BRICS framework.
During the forum, two articles were presented and deliberated upon concerning the BRICS framework, Ethiopia’s accession process, and the roles of its institutions.
Participants included representatives from higher education institutions, think tanks, and civil society organizations.
