Commission says it conducted a study on administrative boundary, identity issues
Addis Ababa, December 31, 2021 (FBC) – Administrative Boundary and Identity Issues Commission announced that it conducted a study on administrative boundaries, identity and self-governance issues at national level.
Commission stated that it started conducting the study jointly with the Addis Ababa University in 2020.
Addis Ababa University has been leading the study while other public higher education institutions target areas have also participated in the study.
A number of recommendations have been garnered in the study and further discussions will be held with stakeholders based on the findings, it is stated.
It is also stated that the research recommendations will be made public after the discussion is with all concerned stakeholders.
The study involved 56 zones in various parts of the country. The Commission has so far conducted introductory sessions in all regions of the country except Tigray.
