Commission installing additional machinery for inspection of humanitarian cargoes to Tigray

Addis Ababa, July 16, 2021 (FBC) – The National Disaster Risk Management Commission announced that additional machinery are being installed for inspection of humanitarian cargoes to Tigray region.

Commissioner Mitiku Kassa stated that a convoy of 60 heavy trucks loaded with food and non-food aid items has entered Mekelle City.

The installation of the additional machinery is aimed to speed up humanitarian aid delivery to the region.

Two machineries are under assembly at check points in Serdo and Afdera towns as procurement of other 10 is under way, Mitiku added.
