City inaugurates potable water projects worth 55 mln Birr
Addis Ababa, March 27, 2021 (FBC) – Addis Ababa City Administration Water and Sewerage Authority has inaugurated deeper wells potable water projects worth 55 Million Birr in kolfe Keraniyo and Gulele Sub-Cities in the presence of senior government officials.
Each facility has a capacity of discharging 9,000 metric cube of clean water, officials said.
Reservoirs of the water projects have been connected with lines that reach residential quarters and households of the capital that are now accessing service with rationing system, Engineer Mesele Zewde, Head of Addis Ketema Sub City Branch Office of the Authority explained, adding that the facilities have paramount significance in addressing water shortage in the beneficiery areas.
Residents of the project areas expressed delight over the inauguration of the projects calling the city government to intensify more efforts to meet the growing clean water demand in the city.
