Addis Ababa, May 17, 2022 (FBC) – Ambassador of Ethiopia to China, Teshome Toga held a virtual discussion today with Bian Shiyuan – General-Manager of International Cooperation Department of Americas and Africa of the Chinese Development Bank (CDB), and discussed on strengthening the relationship between Ethiopia and CDB.

Noting that the growth of the Ethiopian economy is positive and is showing a growth trajectory despite the COVID-19 Pandemic and the war in Northern Ethiopia, the ambassador called on CDB to support the country’s financial policy institutions and ongoing development projects under the development cooperation goals of Ethiopia’s 10 year national development plan and the 8th Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) ministerial conference.

Bian Shiyuan on his part said that CDB has been Ethiopia’s key development cooperation partner since 2007 and noted that the bank is ready and committed for the advancement of its cooperation with Ethiopia on both bilateral and multilateral fronts.
