Chinese cement firm keen to engage in Dire-Dawa FTZ

Addis Ababa, August 3, 2023 (FBC) – Chinese cement firm Qiu Zha Cement Factory expressed keen interest to engage in cement production at the Dire-Dawa Free Trade Zone, according the Dire-Dawa Government Communication Affairs Bureau.

The delegation of Chinese investors discussed with the senior management of the Dire-Dawa city administration about the favorable investment options of the administration, including infrastructure and green development projects.

The delegates stated that they want to engage in cement production in the Dire-Dawa, it was learned.

The members of the delegation are said to be investors engaged in various sectors including construction, aluminum, paper, real estate and transportation.

Owing to the access to air, railway, dry port, free trade zone and other options suitable for investment, it is stated that foreign investors have the desire to engage in various investment fields in Dire-Dawa city, it was stated.
