China’s Harbin Municipal People’s Gov’t eyes twinning partnership with Ethiopian cities

Addis Ababa, August 29, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to China Tefera Derbew, discussed with Xu Guangwei, the Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Harbin Municipal People’s Government in China, focusing on ways to coordinate the Municipality with Ethiopian counterpart for future cooperation.

Ambassador Tefera pointed out that there are potential areas of cooperation between Harbin Municipal People’s Government and Ethiopian counterparts such as tourism, trade and culture.

Xu Guangwei, on his part, stated that the municipality has a plan to visit Ethiopia in the coming months with a working team and high level delegation to coordinate with some Ethiopian municipalities to establish a twinning partnership.

Ambassador Tefera also assured the vice director that the Embassy is ready to facilitate the planned visit of the municipality and promised to work more closely to transform the cooperation into a higher level.
