China, Russia conduct joint air patrol: Defense Ministry

Addis Ababa, May 24, 2022 (FBC) – Chinese and Russian air forces conducted a routine strategic joint patrol over the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea and the Western Pacific Ocean, China’s Defense Ministry said Tuesday, adding the patrol was carried out according to annual military cooperation plans.

The joint patrol lasted 13 hours over the Japanese and East China seas and involved Russian Tu-95 strategic bombers and Chinese Xian H-6 jets, the defense ministry said in a statement.
