China pledges food assiatance to drought, conflict-affected citizens in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, December 6, 2022 (FBC) – China will soon provide food aid to citizens affected by drought and conflict in Ethiopia, according to Yang Yihang, Economic Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia.
The FDRE Minister of State for Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Finance, Semerita Sewasew, discussed the economic cooperation and investment issues of the two friendly countries with Yang Yihang, Economic Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia.
In the discussion, Ms. Semerita stated that the Ethiopian government is working hard to continue strengthening the economic cooperation with the China.
On his part, Chinese Embassy Economic Counselor, Yang Yihang, confirmed that China will continue to strengthen its economic cooperation with the friendly country, Ethiopia.
He stated that China will soon provide food aid to the drought and conflict-affected citizens in Ethiopia.
In addition, the Economic Counselor explained that spare parts and necessary materials for Ethio-Djibouti and Addis Ababa light rail service will be imported in the coming months.
The Chinese Embassy donated various electronic equipment and office supplies to the Ministry of Finance during the same bilateral meeting, the Ministry confirmed.
