China Embassy in Addis Ababa vows stronger cooperation with Jimma University

Addis Ababa, December 11, 2022 (FBC) – Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Zhao Zhyuan has recently visited Jimma town where the China Aid has been undertaking various development activities.

The Ambassador was warmly welcomed by local and regional officials and religious leaders upon his arrival at the town.

Activities being carried out in collaboration between the Ethiopian and Chinese Governments are symbol for the strong friendship between the two countries, the Ambassador said.

“Jimma is such a great place, and we should strengthen our cooperation for the prosperity of Ethiopia,” the Ambassador said.

The Ambassador further visited Jimma University and held in-depth talk with President of the institution Jemal Abafita on ways of enhancing collaboration between in various areas.

China is committed to strengthen its cooperation with the University towards a better future for the community in Jimma town and the whole Ethiopia at large, he added.
