Chief of Amhara state holds talks with French, Finnish ambassadors
Addis Ababa, December 20, 2019 (FBC) – Chief Administrator of the Amhara regional state, Temesgen Tiruneh, held talks with ambassadors of France and Finland.
The talks held with Frederic Bontems, Ambassador of France to Ethiopia, mainly focused on renovation project of the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, tourism and investment.
Temesgen told journalists after the discussion that the renovation of the churches of Lalibela will commence soon. The regional state will work to attract more French tourists.
The Chief Administrator also met with Ambassador of Finland to Ethiopia, Helena Airaksinen, to discuss on Finnish funded agricultural, education and water projects.
Finland has committed 22 million Euros to support Ethiopia’s development activities, she said, adding her country will continue to provide assistance to investment activities in Amhara regional state.
Temesgen thanked the Finnish Government for its development aid to the regional state and invited investors from that country to invest in the region.
