Chamber India ready to promote Ethiopian business, investment opportunities: CEO

Addis Ababa, August 8, 2023 (FBC) – Demeke Atnafu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the Republic of India met and discussed with Abhinav Balyan, President and CEO of Chamber of Commerce, Sustainable Development and Foreign Relations, on business and investment opportunities in Ethiopia.

Ambassador Demeke briefed the President and CEO of Chamber India on business and investment opportunities in Ethiopia.

“The Ethiopian Government is committed to cementing the long-standing relationship between the two countries based on mutual benefit”, the ambassador stated.

The Government has also made significant efforts to make the country the best destination for foreign investors by introducing remarkable reforms in the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policies and the business environment, said Ambassador Demeke.

The President and CEO on his part expressed the Chamber’s readiness to jointly work with the Embassy and promote Ethiopian business and investment opportunities by conducting a series of seminars in India.
